“Inmate lives; lived; loved; cherished and lost!
Prison incarcerations beyond capacity at what cost?
Democracy, politicians, and leaders in hopes for a better tomorrow.
As another mother weeps countless tears of sorrow.
Living in a society of a justice system that’s plagued.
Yet the question remains [how]? The answer is vague.
Who do I trust? Who can I trust? In God I trust with my life.
Counting my blessings; saying my prayer in the silence of the night.
As I stand, who will stand with me, on the eve of the dawn of a new horizon.
In solidarity we are few yet our numbers are rising.
We are all given the power of choice.
Two ears; two eyes; one voice.
I ask of you to stand with us together and fight.
In solidarity we can make a difference by standing for what’s right.”
